The Homesteader is the home quilter's affordable answer to a longarm quilting system. With 17" of throat space you will be able to quilt full 12" blocks all the way across your quilt. The Homesteader comes with Edgerider wheels, a smooth gliding carriage and handles that can quickly change from front to rear sewing with a built in on/off switch. With the variable speed control you decide how fast to quilt. The electronic needle postioner allows you to tie on and off easily. All Homesteader machines come with a double size "M" bobbin and stand alone bobbin winder.
The floor frame is a very sturdy, economical variable length frame. You provide the "long" parts of the frame from components available at your local home improvement center. The tracks use a product called Super Strut that comes in 4,6,8 and 10 foot lengths. The quilt poles are 1.25" electrical conduit. This lets you customize the frame to fit your space and saves you money in materials and shipping costs. An adjustable height center support leg allows you to make your floor frame steady and supported even on an un-level floor.
